PAC Presents on How to Inclusively Build a Museum

March 13, 2026

PAC was proud to present at the 2026 Building Museums Conference, sharing how inclusive design can transform the planning and delivery of complex museum projects. Large-scale projects rely on extensive documentation and communication—much of which is often inaccessible. PAC’s session explored how inclusive design methods can ensure all participants, including those who are blind or low vision, can fully engage throughout the process.

Led by Principals Corey Timpson and Sina Bahram, alongside Mark Riccobono, President of the National Federation of the Blind and the Museum of the Blind People’s Movement; Michael Plamondon, President of Origin Studios; and Alison Tyler, Museum Project Lead at the National Federation of the Blind and the Museum of the Blind People’s Movement, the session highlighted strategies such as multimodal documentation, accessible communication, and inclusive design charrettes, all of which were instrumental to PAC's process as we produce the Museum of the Blind People's Movement for the NFB.

The core message: inclusive design isn’t an add-on—it’s a better way of working. By embedding accessibility from the start, teams can strengthen collaboration, improve outcomes, and ensure projects are created equitably for all.
