PAC to Present at 2026 American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo

May 7, 2026

PAC is excited to contribute to an important conversation on sustainable accessibility in museums at the 2026 AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo. PAC’s Maria Braswell and Robin Marquis will present alongside Vanessa Sanchez and Gustavo Herrera of the National Museum of Mexican Art, and Melanie Fales, Executive Director of the Boise Art Museum.

This session will explore how two art museums have evolved from relying on individual accessibility champions to fostering organization-wide cultures of inclusive design. It will highlight the development of cross-departmental working groups, sustainable processes and protocols, and ongoing partnerships with disability communities—efforts that embed accessibility into institutional identity and values over time. As museums continue to evolve, this session underscores a critical shift: accessibility is not a one-time initiative, but a long-term commitment supported across all areas of an organization.

We look forward to connecting with colleagues at AAM 2026 and advancing the conversation around lasting, systemic inclusion in cultural institutions.
