PAC to Present on Inclusive Museum Design at the 2025 Building Museums Symposium in St. Louis, MO

March 5 to 7, 2025

PAC is excited to participate in the upcoming Building Museums Symposium, where Presidents Sina Bahram and Corey Timpson, along with Jo Haas, the VP of Advancement & The Dot Experience at American Printing House, and Ben Jett, the Creative Team Director at Solid Light, Inc., will be presenting a session on The American Printing House (APH) and The Dot Experience, a groundbreaking museum project built by centering inclusive design and accessibility.

APH, an institution serving the blind and print-disabled community for over 160 years, is undergoing a major renovation and expansion. As part of this effort, The Dot Experience is being designed to create a fully inclusive, multimodal museum that welcomes the widest possible audience.

In this session, APH and PAC will share insights on creating a truly accessible museum, from early learning opportunities to collaboration with designers, fabricators, and accessibility experts. Discussions will cover integrating accessibility from the start, inclusive design principles, and the impact of iterative prototyping on visitor engagement, along with the broader business and community benefits of prioritizing inclusivity.
