PAC to Present on Inclusively Designing and Building a Museum

May 6 to 10, 2025

PAC is thrilled to present at the upcoming American Alliance of Museums’ Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo in Los Angeles. Principals Sina Bahram and Corey Timpson will join Mark Riccobono, President of the National Federation of the Blind, and Alison Tyler, Museum Project Lead of the Museum of the Blind People’s Movement, for a dynamic session on embedding inclusion into large-scale museum projects from the ground up.

The session will explore how an inclusive design methodology can guide every phase of museum development — from early planning and ideation to design and implementation — ensuring access, equity, and meaningful participation for everyone involved. Drawing from real-world experience building the Museum of the Blind People's Movement, the presenters will show how tools like accessible floorplans and schematics support collaboration across a wide range of contributors and audiences. The discussion will also center the importance of working closely with community advocates, subject matter experts, and people with lived experience to design thoughtful, sustainable solutions.
