PAC’s Founder Sina Bahram Speaks with Winnipeg Airports Authority on Inclusive Airport Design

December 3, 2025

Sina Bahram, PAC’s Founder, spoke with the Winnipeg Airports Authority on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) about inclusive design, his experiences as a blind traveler, Mission: AstroAccess, and practical opportunities to make the airport experience more inclusive and accessible. During the discussion, Sina connected inclusive design principles to the real-world realities of air travel—where wayfinding, communication, and independence can be significantly shaped by seemingly small decisions in the built environment, service design, and digital touchpoints.

Sina also shared lessons from Mission: AstroAccess, highlighting how designing for complex, high-stakes environments ultimately benefits everyone. From multimodal navigation cues and clearer information delivery to more reliable support pathways, the conversation emphasized how airports can better welcome the widest possible audience—without treating accessibility as an add-on. PAC appreciates the Winnipeg Airports Authority’s leadership and engagement and looks forward to continued dialogue on building airport experiences that are equitable, usable, and dignified for travelers of all abilities.
