Inclusive Design Gap Analysis
Inclusive design gap analysis and site reporting help organizations understand where their environments, experiences, operations, and user journeys are creating barriers, and where stronger inclusive design practices can improve the experience for everyone.
PAC conducts this work through detailed, on-site review of the full experience. This may include walking through public and back-of-house spaces, evaluating wayfinding systems, reviewing signage and access messaging, assessing physical and sensory conditions, examining digital systems and visitor-facing technologies, observing service interactions, and documenting how people are expected to move through, understand, and participate in the experience. PAC may also interview key staff, review operational practices, and take extensive photos and notes to capture both specific accessibility issues and broader design patterns.
The resulting report gives organizations a clear, evidence-based understanding of what is working, what is creating friction or exclusion, and what should be prioritized for improvement. Findings can span physical access, digital accessibility, wayfinding, content delivery, staff-supported experiences, environmental conditions, emergency and operational procedures, communications, maintenance, procurement, and implementation practices.
This work goes beyond checklist-based compliance. PAC looks at how accessibility and inclusion function in real use: whether people can find what they need, understand what is available, move through the environment with confidence, use digital and physical systems, access services, and participate with dignity and independence.
The final report becomes a practical tool for action. It can support immediate remediation, future design work, staff training, operational changes, budget planning, procurement decisions, and long-term inclusive design strategy. By combining detailed documentation with prioritized recommendations, PAC helps organizations move from general awareness of accessibility issues to a clear, actionable path forward.
