Inclusive User Experience Design Training

Our Inclusive User Experience (UX) Design Training provides interactive sessions that explore the foundational concepts of inclusive design through two 2-hour sessions. The training sessions address key design considerations for digital accessibility, including headings, interactive content such as buttons, links, and forms, images, time-based media, color usage and contrast, and zoom and reflow functionality. We review design assessment methods and tools, and approaches for conveying accessible design intent to development teams, with particular focus on annotations in Figma.

Each session begins with an overview that defines key terms and explains their importance in digital accessibility. We then demonstrate access technologies used by individuals with disabilities and explain how inclusive design practices support these users. The remaining time is discussion-focused, allowing attendees to examine examples of inclusive design and evaluate their own designs in Figma with PAC instructors. PAC demonstrates accessibility evaluation tools and annotation kits throughout the sessions.

Participants will leave equipped with practical knowledge of how to assess the accessibility of their designs, effectively communicate accessibility requirements to their colleagues, and integrate accessibility considerations into their design process with consistent practices for documenting accessible design patterns.
