Touch Objects

PAC designs and produces touch objects-such as 3D models, sculptural representations, and other hands-on interpretive elements-but we begin by helping project teams determine whether a given object or concept is even appropriate for tactile translation. Not everything gains meaning through touch, and part of our role is to identify when a touch object will genuinely support understanding and when another approach is more suitable.

For objects that do benefit from tactile interpretation, we guide teams through decisions about abstraction versus realism, essential features, scale, materials, and durability. We handle modeling, prototyping, and iterative refinement informed by testing with disabled participants. The final touch objects are accurate, intuitive, and aligned with both interpretive goals and user needs, offering meaningful multisensory engagement without unnecessary or ineffective fabrication.
